In 2025, Mon Club International worked closely with communities in Bulunku, Gusau LGA of Zamfara State, where households in Rijiya and Wanke wards were facing the dual challenges of cholera and malnutrition. Under the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) component, the team disinfected two communities in Rijiya, six in Wanke ward, and 50 households using over 800 liters of diluted chlorine to curb the spread of cholera and make homes safer. Youth groups, caregivers, and community leaders also took part in sensitization sessions on water treatment and hygiene practices, ensuring that prevention knowledge reached every household. On nutrition, the team conducted active case findings and screened 317 children. Among them, 47 were identified as severely malnourished, 106 moderately malnourished, 163 healthy, and one with oedema. Parents received Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) counseling to support better nutrition and growth outcomes at home.
