Mon Club International supported the distribution of soap to 65,000 households, reaching about one million individuals across Yobe and Borno States. Through the WASH Sector, adequate quantities of soap were provided to beneficiaries of nutrition services, including children enrolled in Outpatient Therapeutic Programs (OTP), Stabilization Centres (SC), Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programs (TSFP), and vulnerable pregnant and lactating women. Each caregiver or pregnant and lactating woman received ten pieces of 125-gram Unilever soap per family of fifteen, enough to last approximately one and a half months. Mon Club was allocated 13,383 cartons of soap, amounting to about 650,000 pieces, to support this initiative. MCI partnered with National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Local Government Officials other Non-Governmental Organisations, and community stakeholders to ensure successful and well-monitored distribution, promoting better hygiene practices and contributing to improved health within the targeted communities.
